A day of leisure was a rarity at the Institute, hence why Melody found herself so bored at the present moment. She’d already listened to her iPod for over an hour, played piano for another forty-five minutes, had lunch, exercised, and showered. The Excelsiors weren’t scheduled for training today, and she hadn’t a clue as to where Julian was. As close as the two had grown, they still led separate lives, which was actually a very good thing. The handsome blue-eyed boy was a part of the Hellions, which was obviously fitting seeing as his codename was…wait for it…Hellion. Shocked, right? Of course this did little to help with his already inflated ego, but Melody was oddly attracted to the arrogance he carried himself with.
The last several months had been wonderful, although considering that their relationship began blossoming as his previous one was crumbling, left the Southern belle with a poor taste in her mouth. She’d told herself repeatedly that she wouldn’t be the cause of a break-up, she’d hate to cause someone else, specifically one of her teammates, heartache in anyway. When Julian had informed her that he and Sofia had broken things off, she’s been unbelievably relieved. There still lay mild guilt within her at the thought that she and Julian had shared several flirtations and many close encounters while he was still together with Wind Dancer. Granted, the two hadn’t kissed or anything else, but Mel had wanted it, and that she simply couldn’t deny.
Knowing Julian was available was yet another relief to the girl; she was free to act upon the feelings that had been growing steadily since their encounter in the Danger Room over six months ago. That was prior to the epidemic, prior to the loss of so many…the Chimera virus had caused madness, and now the world was finally beginning to right itself again. Her heart bled for those who had been victims and she instantly wished that she’d done more to help the cause. A thunderous crash from outside startled Melody out of her thoughts on the tragic outbreak. Venturing towards the source, she looked around and spotted her boyfriend holding a large, rock-like boy in the air. Shaking her head in disbelief, she exited the building.
Much to her personal dismay, she spotted the Stepford Cuckoos in all of their blonde glory. They’d made their dislike for Melody rather clear, so the brunette had given up attempts of having any form of friendship with the girls. She was still unsure of what she had done to garner such loathing, but considering Ms. Frost was their mentor, there probably wasn’t much of a reason at all. She heard Wind Dancer say something about putting the boy down.
"I just meant that you're so hot and that any guy would want to do you."
Her eyes squinted, and it was obvious that she had missed the entire conversation, one which obviously had to do with Sofia. Julian’s grip on Rockslide gave the girl the inclination that the talk had involved her boyfriend and his ex. From the discussions she’d had with Hellion, he’d made it clear that the two had never consummated their relationship. The physical aspect between she and the Psi was much different from that of his previous relationship. Her only fear rest within her own insecure notion that the azure eyed hunk was only with her for sex. With her feelings for him growing, Melody surely hoped, and was nearly convinced that this wasn’t that situation. Although, she couldn’t completely complain if that were the case. Each time was more satisfying than the last, and for that she was both grateful and amazed. They’d yet to use the dreaded L word, and knowing him as she did, she figured it would be quite a while before her verbalized the extent of his feelings. The Cuckoos voiced their opinion on the matter at hand, and in the same sentence took a dig at Aero and Wind Dancer both. The audacity! Again though, she wasn’t surprised by it, the girls were anything but pleasant, so this jab was of no great shock.
Melody was quick to notice the disadvantage her fellow Excelsior was at, and moved to stand next to her, in an effort to show support. “Sofia’s right, Julian. Put ‘im down.” Her hazel eyes bore into Julian’s baby blues. “Besides, there’s definitely betta’ things we could be doin’ with this free day.” She sent the final part of her statement to Julian, whom she was sure could read her thoughts by this point. The tone held a distinct flirtatious vibe, and she was hoping he would be taking the hint. And knowing the Cuckoos and their hive-mind, they'd also tapped into her thoughts. This should be fun.

There were such a great number of things that Julian Keller hated in the world. At the top of that very long list was being made a fool. Julian was not the type to face insecurities, for he had very few, if any in fact. The confident Psion was all too aware of his better qualities and flaunted them every day that he opened his eyes. This attracted a lot of hatred and jealously of course, but Keller had grown used to the inferior thoughts of others around him. He paid them no mind and instead focused his time with those worthy of his attention. However, today was becoming quite different. Today he was the subject that was to feel of lesser worth and Julian didn't like it one ounce.
His telekinetic hold on the rock-like giant was still strong. Regardless of Santo's weight, Julian knew he could handle him without much effort. However, it seemed that the opinions of the boy's peers, now rapidly appearing from the woodwork around them, were beginning to add more and more strain to his concentration. Before long Julian had too many thoughts rushing through his head that he had completely forgotten why this had been taken so wrongly. Santo was his teammate and he had no intentions on hurting him. This was after all, only a show. Surely Rockslide would know this and the two would find a good laugh in it later on. Perhaps a Danger Room session? Yes. It would be the perfecting bonding time for Hellion and the newest addition to his squad.
"I think this entire situation has been blown out of proportion, Santo." Julian said as he lowered the giant back to the ground below. "And I really don't remembering inviting any of you into the conversation that the three of us were having." He finished, shooting a glare to his beloved Stepford Sisters.
The sisters three were a marvelous example of mutant evolution at its best. Three telepathic triplets with a hive mind connection. Someday they would become infinitely powerful and perhaps even stronger than Emma Frost herself. Julian admired such greatness and showed them equal respect to what they gave to him. Today seemed the exception though. Instead of supporting his actions, the sisters chose to threaten him and only further instigate the pointless scuffle...which again, wasn't really a scuffle. If anything, Julian had only meant to horse around with Rockslide, refusing to let his pride be destroyed by some ill-slipped words. Besides, he was a rock. There wasn't much damage to be done by a simple fall. Still, Julian couldn't deny his affection for the triplets and would make sure that he had a friendly conversation with them later. For now though, there was a new focus to his attention and her name was Melody.
“Besides, there’s definitely betta’ things we could be doin’ with this free day.” Melody whispered in a thought, carefully slipping it toward Julian's mind.
Understanding that the Cuckoos would immediately pick this thought up, Julian smirked. "You're right, Melody. Why am I wasting my idol time being scolded out here when there are plenty of studies I could be investigating inside? I think I have an anatomy exam next week. Care to help me study?" Hellion said with an ever confidant tone. The telekinetic floated to his girlfriend's side, taking her away from Sofia's and toward the lower gardens.
Connecting himself with Santo one last time, Julian whispered, ~This school doesn't suck, Santo. Believe me. You're new, but I'll show you the way soon. When you're free from your company here come find me....~ Pausing for a mental moment, Julian tossed Rockslide a smirk. ~Much later, if you would.~
Briefly turning to Sofia, Julian extended his farewell. "It was nice to catch up, Wind Dancer." He said, his tone dripping with an uncertain sarcasm.

With ease, the girls daintily made their way toward the very edge of the mansion’s rooftop, where their team leader and his two companions were situated. There presence there was unexpected and though they would not lead on, the girls relished in that anxious surprise. To say that the girls thrived in negative situations would be too harsh a description for the pleasure they took in predicting outcomes based on the weighing variables of individual though; to predict the proper consequence of their actions in conjunction with the thoughts and actions of those around them. In essence, they were merely practicing crowd control. Luckily for them, their current subjects were easily predictable. None were versed in much telepathic blocking save for Julian, and his skills were not even on par with the triplets. No, this was just a practice, not a test. For if it had been a test there would surely have been someone like Professor Braddock thrown in for the mere sadistic pleasure of the girls’ mentor, Miss Frost.
A new presence made itself know as the brain patterns of someone very familiar made its way out of the building and up to the chilly rooftops. The person felt of Midwestern summer breezes – if the Three-in-One were prone to describing minds in such a childish way. Like a whipping wind, the Southern tart known as Aero made her past the girls to stand beside her fellow Excelsior teammate, demanding her overly confident boyfriend place the rock creature back on solid ground. A thought passed between the two lovebirds, one that was softly seductive with only a hint of reservation. The girls picked up on this and began to make short scans of the lovers and their two friends. Little secrets filtered into the girls’ hive mind one by one, but very few of them the girls found of much use. The rock’s name was Santo Vaccarro, their new teammate. Melody had doubts about the real reason Hellion dated her. Sofia’s terrible home life. Julian, however, didn’t seem to have many…nor any at all. This in and of itself puzzled the girls. All his feels were bottled much too tightly up and locked deep away. Too deep for a mere cursory scan. Julian. The girls turned their gazes upon him as he spoke.
"I think this entire situation has been blown out of proportion, Santo." The psion said as he lowered the giant rock back to the ground. "And I really don't remembering inviting any of you into the conversation that the three of us were having."
“We hardly need your permission when you weren’t invited either,” the girls pointed out as they took steps to complete the rough circle of students. Eyes still trained on the handsome Californian, the girls wondered amongst themselves how truly superficial Julian might be. They could detect no insecurities other than the awkward feeling he exuded when he saw his ex-girlfriend. No remorse or regret. It was…enviable.
The thought passed earlier seemed to be preeminent concern of Hellion, however, as he chose to respond to his amorous companion. "You're right, Melody. Why am I wasting my idol time being scolded out here when there are plenty of studies I could be investigating inside? I think I have an anatomy exam next week. Care to help me study?" That confidence of his, previously admired by the girls, dripped with every word he uttered a little too sickeningly for their current tastes. A whisper of an exchange between the telekinetic and his new rock friend as the girls stepped up to take the previous place of Hellion. The young man held onto his girlfriend, both now airborne just over the edge of the building. "It was nice to catch up, Wind Dancer."
"Oh, leaving so soon? And just as we were all beginning to have a little fun.”
"Enjoy your anatomy study session… "…we’re sure there are plenty of things you’ll be able to learn from each other.” The two jabbed at the descending fliers.
Sickening, isn’t it? How you can’t be sure of Julian’s true motives for dating you? The girls thought directly to the Kentucky born wind manipulator. Eventually they came to stand beside Sofia, Celeste and Phoebe placing a hand on each of her shoulders. ”You’re better off. Boys are so untrustworthy.”

Santo was angry now. He had become the centre of attention, and not because of his wit or how awesome he was but because he had fallen off the freakin' roof and then his new "friend" had picked him up with his freaky mutant powers and shaken him like a polaroid picture. The larger the crowd got the more annoyed he got, knowing that they all seemed to be mocking him, none more Julian and the three blonde twins who seemed to speak and then sometimes seemed to be speaking to others without moving their mouths. There were entire conversations whipping around him in that weird mind talking, and the fact that Julian insisted on lecturing him in it annoyed the stuffing out of him.
The entire situation had gone from a nice quiet talk with Sofia to a three ringed circus. It was totally krunk. Picking himself off up off the ground after Julian had put him down and then floated away like Capser the Freaky Ghost, he scowled at the trio of blondes. It did not take any mutant powers to know when girls were looking at him like he was some kind of freak. "Haven't you ever seen a guy made of rock before," he snapped at them, "I thought this place was going to be different. I should have just become a wrestler like I wanted, at least I'd get paid to be gawked at by skanky blondes."
Glancing at Sofia he felt bad. Apparently telling a girl you wanted to sleep with them was not the way to go, though he suspected had it been someone who looked like Julian it would have come off as charming. As a big rock thing he pretty much was screwed no matter what he said. And not screwed in a good way. Now he understood why the Hulk ran around smashing things, being the freak in a group of freaks was no fun at all. There was no way any girl was going to like him, if not even this school for mutant freaks had a mutant freak as freaky as him. Everyone was like a freakin' super model here, and that meant he was even more ugly than he had been at his old school.

"You're right, Melody. Why am I wasting my idol time being scolded out here when there are plenty of studies I could be investigating inside? I think I have an anatomy exam next week. Care to help me study?"
As the handsome Californian floated to her side, she gave him a devastating smile. Her dimples deep, she placed a light kiss on his lips before realizing his ex-girlfriend standing less than a foot from them. Immediately she was embarrassed at her public display. Usually, such a chaste kiss would be considered incredibly tame, but at present moment, her conscience was eating away at her. Looking over to Sofia, she only hoped she hadn’t created any further feelings of awkwardness. The two beautiful girls were teammates who just so happened to have one Julian Keller in common. People had overcome greater obstacles than this to co-exist, and she had faith that she and Wind Dancer would have no trouble doing the same. In fact, aside from their ideas on fornication, the two girls were actually rather alike, and Melody truly enjoyed Sofia’s company when available.
Her eyes drifted back to the striking Psi whose arms she was currently nestled in comfortably. Their feet were off the ground, and it was he who was actually lifting them. He knew Melody was more than capable of lifting herself, but the slight gesture was enough to bring another smile to her face. It showed his support of her both physically and emotionally. The prospect of studying was more than enticing to the girl. Moving her lips closer to his ear, she huskily whispered, “But, I’m so much better at human sexuality.” Aero nipped his ear lightly, her tongue running along the edge seductively. The action wasn’t seen by any of the others as far as she could tell. It appeared that she’s just quietly spoken to him. Her playful tone most definitely did not go unnoticed by the telekinetic, and at the moment she wanted nothing more than to get out of their present situation and into a much more pleasurable one.
As she and Hellion moved further from the group she heard the unmistakable voices belonging to 3-in-1.
"Oh, leaving so soon? And just as we were all beginning to have a little fun.”
"Enjoy your anatomy study session… "…we’re sure there are plenty of things you’ll be able to learn from each other.”
A smirk of discontent graced the flier’s face. Sure, they actually had a point, there was plenty the teens could learn from each other. The girls apparently found themselves rather amusing though, that or they just lived to make others miserable. While she was leaning towards the latter, a voice crept into her head.
Sickening, isn’t it? How you can’t be sure of Julian’s true motives for dating you?
She seethed silently, sending a look that could kill towards the triplets. They’d gotten in. They’d invaded her mind at her weakest moment. Her eyes narrowed, before inhaling deeply. She wasn’t going to do this, she was not going to allow them to hurt her. She and Julian were solid, they were happy, and they were going to stay that way. It was likely that the girls themselves were jealous of her relationship with Julian. In their eyes, she wasn’t exactly worthy of their Hellion squad leader, but he himself thought differently, and that was all that mattered to her. Upon hearing Santo’s words towards the girls, a loud laugh escaped the brunette. She’d tried to sustain it, but there was no stopping the giggle that let itself be heard. She was sure the Cuckoos would repay her for laughing at them, but right now that wasn’t a concern at the front of her focus. Never, in all of her time at Xavier’s, had she ever heard any stand up to the trio like that. In that instant it was clear, she liked this guy already, rock or no rock.

“Sofia’s right, Julian. Put ‘im down.”
Sofia closed her eyes and sighed mentally. Really, had she offended some higher power and didn’t know about it? Was there something she had done or said, or not, that caused her karma to twist about this way? She didn’t hate Melody. She wasn’t bitter towards her or jealous of her. The Southerner was just as sweet and kind as she could be, honestly. She just couldn’t see her or hear her right now. They were already on the same team, outside of that Sofia tried to keep her distance. It was just easier that way. For now, it was best for her sanity.
Besides all that, the fact remained that Julian had essentially left her for Melody. Yes, her secretiveness had been a problem, but she had had a reason. She had been working on it, even considering getting therapy but then the bomb had been dropped…and she hadn’t seen the point anymore. She wouldn’t dare say Melody caused the split single-handedly, but not a lot of time passed between the split and them getting together. And as it was impossible to miss, she had noted the flirtations, the closeness, but wrote it all off. Julian had always been popular with the ladies, so she hadn’t bothered him about it. Now…well, it’s pretty self-explanatory what it was now.
The Cuckoos had been gracious enough to spare Sofia from Melody’s last comment, but Julian was not as he replied verbally. "You're right, Melody. Why am I wasting my idol time being scolded out here when there are plenty of studies I could be investigating inside? I think I have an anatomy exam next week. Care to help me study?"
Hellion then whisked his girlfriend away and as Sofia tried to pretend she hadn’t heard a word of it, her ex left her with this oh-so-sweet parting shot of sarcasm, "It was nice to catch up, Wind Dancer." And he sounded /so/ sincere. Sofia said nothing back, didn’t even look at him. Breathe in, breathe out – let it go. Breathe in, breathe out – he’s leaving, relax. Breathe in, breathe out – it’s not even that big of a deal. Julian’s attitude would take some extra time to get used to. Her immunity was stripped apparently. While she had yet to face the full weight of Hellion’s usual disposition, even this was different for her. Where did that boy she danced with at New Year’s go?
Sofia was about to go tend to a suitably riled up Rockslide, when the Stepford sisters approached her. Two of them placed a hand on each of her shoulders and Sofia halted her movement, wondering what this was. They told her, “You’re better off. Boys are so untrustworthy.”
Blinking slowly, Sofia said nothing at first. She didn’t know what to say. While the triplets had never been openly hostile or rude to her, they hadn’t been friendly either. It was more like neutral. Before, she had thought that they only tolerated her as the rest of the Hellions did because she was their leader’s girlfriend. Now, well, here they were. According to the school’s gossip mill, the split was Sofia’s fault. She failed as Julian’s girlfriend, apparently not performing as she should. Clearly, since Julian had dumped her, she had come short in some way and he had had no choice but to move on to the next – Melody. So it was her fault, poor foolish little Sofia’s fault, entirely for losing him. Apparently.
She envied the triplets you know. No, it wasn’t for their beauty or power. It was their sisterhood. Strange, right? No matter what, they had each other. To have had two people at your side since birth. To have even one was probably amazing, but two? As an only child, an unwanted one at that [save for her mother of course], Sofia could only imagine the bond between the sisters. She had Derek, sure, but there was only so much he could do for her as her would-be surrogate father without drawing the suspicions and ire of her biological father. And they had Miss Frost. Though few would see the White Queen in the light of the mother figure type, Sofia could. …sort of. Her students looked up to her, adored her, and respected her. She was their white-clad idol. Say what you will, but Miss Frost looked out for her students, for those she mentored. Sofia had no such mentor. Her teachers liked her well enough, but she hadn’t connected with any of them on any level beyond education, beyond class. The sisters, eerie as their bond was, had a connection that most couldn’t claim. A luxury that few others had. I wonder what it’s like, to have had someone you can count on for anything your entire life?
Sofia smiled a sincere smile at the triplets. “Thank you,” she said softly. “Yo’re probably the only ones tha’ think so.”
Rockslide was agitated at this point and she couldn’t blame him, so she went over to try and soothe the irritated teen. “I know yo’re probably tired of hearing me say this, but are you okay? I’m so sorry about Julian, he can get very touchy about some things. He’s not always like tha’.” Now here’s a familiar scene, Sofia apologizing for Julian’s mood or behavior, smoothing over any ruffled feathers the telekinetic would have left behind. After that, she usually would have followed after him, but as we all know…that was someone else’s job now. She shrugged helplessly. “I think.”
Sofia summoned a wind current to carry her around Santo’s broad form. She poked and pressed him carefully in some areas, asking, “Does this hurt?” each time. Julian may not have hurt him, but that had been a nasty fall – rock or not. She just had to be sure he wasn’t hurt and there was no lasting damage. The guilt would follow her around all day if she left without being entirely sure. She asked because it was a little to judge if a rocky surface had suffered great damage. Santo didn’t /look/ hurt, didn’t mean that he wasn’t. “Some way to start off school, eh?”

Standing there beside Sofia, the girls looked upon the pieces of a game only they played. The Disavowed Lover. The Prince. The Blameless Temptress. The Foolish Wanderer. Pieces. That’s all they were to the girls. And now it would seem their pieces were falling silently into place. Celeste and Phoebe could see they had struck a nerve with the Kentucky flier as she glared up at the sisters from her telekinetic perch beside the White Queen’s favorite little pet; could see the temper flare like a tiny spurt of flame from the crackling embers of a once great fire. Dipping into the girl’s head like it were nothing more than a shallow pond, Celeste, Mindee and Phoebe examined the source of that pulsing heat of an emotion. They watched it grow and flame and cool. Melody was keeping a lid on that powerful current of emotion, not wanting to ‘lose her cool’. The triplets chuckled mentally as they withdrew.
Suddenly, Celeste and Phoebe became distinctly aware of a tickle of envy that moved up from one hand each and traveled down the lengths of the arm. The sensation was eerie as they had never before felt a physical manifestation of their telepathic abilities. Their startled hands jerked back ever so slightly, so as not to evidence any surprise that they had just now felt Sofia’s envy. Whatever it was about, the girls guessed it was Melody. The girl had, after all, stolen the one good thing going on in the Latin flier’s life. A terribly dreary thought, but it was the truth. Wind Dancer was brooding as best she knew how and Julian didn’t seem to have the heart to care. No, he was more interested in his playmate to even consider the fragile emotions of the one he had once called Beautiful. He had used her and dumped and moved on to another. How dishonest! And Infuriating! Sophia’s gratitude was drowned out by their boiling blood. Melody’s anger had found it’s way into the girls and seethed beneath their milky white skin. Sophia….Sophie. They had been used and left discarded like trash. Boys thought they could just take and take and never return.
"Haven't you ever seen a guy made of rock before," the crag-faced creature yelled, "I thought this place was going to be different. I should have just become a wrestler like I wanted, at least I'd get paid to be gawked at by skanky blondes." Melody erupted with laughter as Santo’s words were eaten up by the silence, and like a nuclear explosion, the girls stiffened and balled their hands with resolute determination. No one laughed at the Stepfords. It took little effort, but the girls planted a firm seed of doubt based upon Melody’s own fears and insecurities. Every time she saw Julian, she would remember Sophia. She would see Sophia’s face in the mirror and think of her whenever Julian smiled or spoke or even laughed. She would see herself when she passed Sophia and see what damage Julian left imprinted upon the poor girl’s heart. It would eat her like the plague and she would never even think to blame the Three-in-One as the girls quietly masked their trail. Mission completed, the girls turned as one upon the self-styled Rockslide. Sophia was fluttering about him, making sure he wasn’t damaged from the fall his boulder sized ass laid as it left its mark upon the school.
”You’re new here,” the girls began as a wind that wasn’t entirely oxygen as psionic energy,”so you probably didn’t know. We are the Three-in-One and if you don’t censor what idiotic dribble your mouth spouts, you’re going to wake up one morning wishing you still looked like a rock.” Three sets of furious, glowing white eyes stared menacingly upon Santo, impressing upon him a sense of unease with their collective minds. When they felt the point had crossed past that jagged surface and into what little brain he had, the girls began walking back to the roof access door. They stopped once and turned to look back at Rockslide. ”Oh, and welcome to Xavier’s.” They left the roof as quickly and quietly as they had come, leaving little to no doubt in the new student’s mind that he had just pissed off the school’s most powerful, telepathic students.

Watching in silence as the triplets spoke quietly to Sofia moments prior to her outburst, there was a sudden feeling of complete unsettlement. The girls were anything but kind, and this sudden display was simply mind-boggling. As quickly as the compassion was shown though, the girls retreated to their former selves, placing the wall of ice right back in place.
Sofia moved over to Santo, once again checking on the boy to assure his safety. Physically he was fine thanks to Julian’s telekinesis, and judging by his remark to 3-in-1, he was fine emotionally as well. She had to give credit to the new guy; no one stood up to the White Queens in training. It was nearly unfathomable for someone to be so forward and brash with the blondes. This had caused Melody’s laughing fit. To think, someone had finally had the courage to stand up to them; she admired Rockslide for that.
Aero had seen the girls tense up following Santo’s “rude” comment and her own laughter, and immediately knew the triplets were not going to take anything that had been said lightly. As quickly as the laughter began, it quickly leveled out. She supposed now would be an opportune time for that anatomy session with Julian. Taking hold of his hand as they remained elevated above the ground, she prepared to speak to him, looking into his dashing blue eyes. Flashes of Sofia began playing in her mind; her break-up with Julian, the tears she had shed over the charming boy. Blinking rapidly as if to extinguish the visuals, she shook her head slowly. The experience was just unreal; Julian had told her about the break-up, but she hadn’t been there; and she sure as hell shouldn’t be seeing it replay in her mind. Moving her confused gaze to the landing, she saw the retreating figures of the Cuckoos, silently praying this wasn’t their doing. The girls weren’t that vicious, were they?
Hazel eyes then landed back upon the Latina and Santo, both appeared to be in conversation. It was good to see Sofia reaching out to others, a small step in putting herself back out there. She smiled softly at the scene, hoping the two would become friends. Wind Dancer needed someone she could confide in, especially since Melody had unintentionally stolen her boyfriend; the one stable thing she had. Guilt ripped through the brunette again, her hold on Hellion’s hand loosening. Normally, the Kentuckian would feel little regret for the happiness she and Julian shared, but right now…she couldn’t explain the flood of emotions rushing through her. Clearing her throat softly, she looked back up to her handsome beau, attempting to faze out the graphics playing in her mind. “Uh, ya know what? Ah just remembered I promised Paige we’d hang out today.” The statement wasn’t a complete lie, she and her older sister had made plans to spend time with each other, but that was scheduled for much later. “Rain check on the study session?” Her voice was hopeful, an uncommonly shy smile on her face. Without receiving an answer, she placed her full lips on his cheek lightly, dashing off back into the mansion.
[Exit Aero]
The journey back to her dorm room was filled with puzzlement. Julian was so often the only thing on her mind, these sudden invasions were leaving the flier bewildered. Laying on her bed and turning her iPod on, she lay on her side hoping a short nap would break this spell she seemed to be under.
Possessions never meant anything to me I'm not crazy Well that's not true, I've got a bed, and a guitar And a dog named Bob who pisses on my floor That's right, I've got a floor So what, so what, so what? I've got pockets full of Kleenex and lint and holes Where everything important to me Just seems to fall right down my leg And on to the floor My closest friend linoleum Linoleum
Sighing in content upon hearing NoFX playing, she quickly realized exactly what song was pumping out of her speakers. As the beats continued to fill the room, she grabbed the pillow her head previously rested on fully intent to smother her oncoming scream at the irony. “Oh, mother f…” The remainder of her sentence was drowned out by the closing lines of the song.
That's me on the back of the bus That's me in the cell That's me inside your head That's me inside your head That's me inside your head.
Perfect. It was going to be a long day.
