Wanda considered that. She had little experiance with children herself, given that when she was young she had only really known her twin brother Pietro. The children of the villages she had stopped at had been cruel for the most part, their bigotry against gypsies handed down through the generations. Still here at the Xavier Institute where she had found nearly all of the students to be wonderful, it was disapointing to hear that Laura was being harrassed. The only students that she had ever had issues with was one of the 3-in-1s and it had turned out that it had actually been someone else trying to make it look like the blondes had been at the root of the issue.
She choose her words careful, not wanting to suggest that perhaps students had a problem with Laura because she was a hard person to get to know and yet wanting to defend the kids of the school a little. "I have found that for the most part people are self-centred, they are more worried about their own problems than someone else's," she said, "How they treat you may say more about how they feel about themselves and their place in this school than how they feel about you. Do not grow too disheartened, there are still good people here."
"And we will achieve our goal, though I never said that it would be easy," she added.
Turning she thought for a moment, "We had best stop here. I believe we have made some progress but I feel like perhaps I am starting to tire you for the day. I will be here tomorrow, and each day after that. I enjoy the day more when you come to meet me."
Retrieving her chair and her book she gave Laura another smile, "If you ever need me outside of our meetings, never hesitate to find me."
