Hello, all!
I noticed that the lovely Clarice Ferguson is listed as needing admin permission to play, so I thought that I would inquire about that here. I've played her before on other boards, and I have to admit that I'm intrigued by whatever it is that's going on with her that the permission is needed for. Anyway, if an admin could PM me with the details, that would be much appreciated. (Thought that might be easier than me sending messages to all of the staff individually.)
Thanks!
Edit: (Somehow I got registered with a lowercase "b"... Odd...) Nevermind, I figured out how to change that.

I think, and another admin can confirm this, that it probably has to do with the alternative universe aspect of her added to the power of her teleportation abilities.
The first issue is that this game has no alternative universes, so that means Blink would not be able to come here from another version of Earth. We're not going down that road in the near future, and so I can't see her as she is in the comics being allowed in.
The second issue is that her teleportation abilities are very powerful, she can basically teleport anything as far as the moon. That really goes beyond a workable power in game, since someone like Nightcrawler is limited to a few miles.
I think a version of Blink would be acceptable, but I'd wait for another admin to confirm that for sure before spending any time on your application.

Jeff adequately summed up the reasons why Blink needs admin permission to play. This is a movie-based RPG that has a plot based on the X-Men movies. So Blink’s history would basically have to be OC due to the fact that here we don’t have an Age of Apocalypse or Exiles. Also her powers are, as stated by Jeff, extremely powerful and would have to be adjusted with limitations.
Well, that’s the reasons that I remember anyway. For further clarification feel free to PM Evan (aka Hellion), the Head Administrator.

So, as long as she's not coming into this world from an alternate reality, and her powers are toned down, sounds like Blink would be a go... I shall have to see what I can pull together for a bio for her. I've actually always played her without using the full effect of her powers, because, really, where's the fun in a character that can do all of that? xD
By the way, I could be completely missing it, but I'm not seeing anywhere on the board that explains the Chimera Virus and the Decimation event in any detail. Is there anywhere somebody who hadn't been at the old board should look for this information? Thanks!!

There isn't really. Basically here is what happened. Chimera Virus and Decimation are the same thing, or the same story.
There was an outbreak of a virus that affected only mutants. It heightened their powers, and made them more aggressive until eventually it killed them. The outbreak was worst in the New York mutant ghetto District X. The X-Men discovered that the virus seemed to some how be linked with the mutant cure that had been developed by Worthington Labs (in X3). A team went to District X to help control the population, while another went to Worthington Labs to see what they could discover.
At Worthington labs Emma Frost and the 3-in-1s confronted Exodus of the Brotherhood. They fought and Exodus was killed. With the information from the labs they were able to develop a cure back at the Xavier Institute.
Meanwhile in District X the team lead by Cyclops confronted first Mr. X a mysterious man who had been living in District X and had powers beyond what had been seen since Jean Grey's death. They also confronted the Brotherhood lead by Magneto. Wanda Maximoff, who had left the Brotherhood for the X-Men (in between X1-X2 timeline) helped to get the two sides to work together to prevent Mr. X from starting an all out war between humans and mutants.
Once the cure had been developed it was brought down to District X and the X-Men and Brotherhood worked together to distribute it to the population.
The game then took a six month jump forward during which nothing really happened.

Blink sounds fine to me given that she be adjusted to a less-powerful and less-alternate reality form of herself. I think that made sense, but I've been wrong before. Anyway, Blink is greenlight to go.
