The ever optimistic and cheerful Jubilation Lee was hanging around the Xavier’s Institute for the Gifted Youngsters. After finishing up a couple of Sociology lessons, she was finally done for the day. In was around mid-day afternoon and Jubilee had the whole day ahead of her. Every day she had to have her share of fun; she believed having fun was what life was all about, but become serious when situation demands it. You want to live a happy life, because you might not be alive the next day. Jubilee felt mulling over the future was a big waste of time. Take action every day, and answer the questions you seek by living life through, one day after the other.
After conversing with a few people with some good laughs in her wide circle of friends she spotted a red-haired girl, with unusual pointed ears. It was none other than the plant manipulator, Dryad. This elf was extremely pretty, but lacked the social skills. She was painfully quiet, which upset Jubilee. A girl being so quiet in life, but so beautiful, has to take charge! You want to live your life having fun; not being quiet. It was one of her main points in Sociology. Jubilee was mostly everyone’s friends. She has gone a a few X-Missions and talked to Dryad before, trying to be nice to mostly everyone, when her spoiled snobby side was inactive.
Saying good-bye to friends the friends she was talking to, she immediately walked over to the pretty elven girl to speak with her. She made a nice friendly conversation with ease and convinced her to hang out with Jubilee. They were going to go… SHOPPING! Shopping was the truly one of the many reasons to live. Jubilee loved to shop when she was young, and she continues to today. She hoped this shopping experience would crack Dryad out of her shell. Jubes also had a strong sense of fashion. She noticed Dryad always wore conservative, non-revealing clothes. That habit had to go! Jubilee would do her best to beautify Dryad to the apex of her potential.
Then out of no where, the tiny pink-haired girl with a pair of insect like wings popped out of no where! She asked to tag along with the two of them and go shopping. Jubes couldn’t say no. It would be a bit more fun to have the happy-go-lucky Pixie tag along. She can be of assistance in cracking Dryad out of her shell. Three pretty girls going shopping! It always turned a bad day around full circle. Maybe flirt with some cute boys while walking through the mall. Just thinking about the mall brought back good memories of her and her friends illegally roller-blading in a local mall in Beverly Hills as a child.
So the three X-Women set off for the Salem Center in Jubilee’s cute yellow buggie. Since Salem Center was nearby the Institute, it was a very short drive. The black-haired Chinese-American beauty was wearing a cute yellow t-shirt, with a small jean jacket over it. She had a silver necklace with the distinctive ‘X’ logo on it. She wore a pair of tight blue jeans along with her casual large hoop earrings. She wore her wavy sleek black hair down, letting it flow past her shoulders. A little make-up and other facial buffers was already applied to her face, which just beautified her even more.
They arrived at the Westchester Mall. Jubilee was just so excited. She had a wide toothy smile face the whole short drive. “Yay! We’re here!” Jubilee said enthusiastically, “Aren’t you guys excited? I am. I haven’t been to the mall in almost a week!” She let out a few girlish giggles as she parked her car in the driveway. “Come on guys, let’s go… SHOPPING!” She screeched out loud in a ecstatic sort of way. Jubilee looked at her face in the mirror, making sure her perfect facial complexion and looks were perfect. She then stepped out of the mobile vehicle and started to walk toward the mall, carrying her stylish ‘coach’ bag over her shoulders. She had a wallet full of money and was ready to attack that mall!

Callie was not really a shopper -- at least, not like the girl who had more or less forced her into the car. She browsed for books, new and old alike, or for new and interesting plants to take care of. Things most girls her age weren't terribly concerned with, she knew, but Callie had never bothered trying to be like most girls. She liked who she was and that was all that had ever mattered to the young woman. Sure she was a bit of a quiet soul, but the mansion was full to the brim of rambunctious youths...someone needed to be the quiet one. Still, the elfin mutant wasn't completely anti-social, and while she was not as loud and joyous with her conversation, she was still open and friendly. Although the idea of battling through the mall was not in her list of favorite things to do, the pressure (sweet as it was) from Jubilee eventually caused Callie to cave. Not a first in her life, really, since she was so opposed to disappointing others. She really ought to work on fixing that habit, since all it did was get her stuck in situations she wasn't really fond of...such as this shopping trip. Ah well. It wouldn't hurt to get another pair or two of jeans, maybe a sweater too. Most of the ones she had were more or less ruined by her gardening obsession.
Safe at the Institute, Callie had been free to sweep her culy locks completely up, not having to worry about the reaction to her daintily pointed ears. Now, sitting in the car on the way to a far too public place, the little bookworm freed her hair from it's restricting band and gave her head a little shake. Nimble fingers pulled back only half of her hair instead, wrapping the plain black band around her half ponytail, careful to leave it loose enough to droop slightly, covering the distinctive tips of her ears. There, disguise complete. Simple, it was true, but more than effective enough for the purpose.
“Yay! We’re here! Aren’t you guys excited? I am. I haven’t been to the mall in almost a week! Come on guys, let’s go… SHOPPING!”
"A whole week? How did you stand it?" A sharp contrast to the bubbling Jubilee, Callie spoke in softer, gentler tones, although her amusement at such a silly proclaimation was still evident in her amused words, as well as the smile lingering on her face. 'Might as well get this over with," she commented privately, already pulling a mental face at the thought of so many people packed into the place. Still, she supposed it wouldn't kill her, and at least she had a seasoned mall-goer or two to keep her from getting swallowed whole. She just hoped she could convince them not to use her as a life-sized Barbie.

Sitting in the back of Jubilee's buggy to allow the two older girls to sit up front, Pixie didn't mind. Her legs were short enough so that it didn't matter where she has in any car, although it did leave her open to the car seat comments, she was starting not to mind he cracks about her height so much. She was confident she'd grow out of it, so why not for the moment enjoy being made fun of something that wasn't even all that bad? It fit her name at least, and she'd be pretty awkward if she were a seven foot 'Pixie'. The whole ride she seemed to either stare out the window or glance at Callie, lost to her own thoughts rather than fully engaging in Jubilee's excited chatter. Yes, this was going to be fun and a bit of an adventure, but they had to remember to not make it a horrible situation for the relative shop-virgin. Going through her early teen years not twenty minutes away from the Mall of America, Megan had done her fair bit of shopping and considering the fact she was an only child with a fairly successful father, she never really had to worry about money too much. She wasn't rich, exactly and she'd never buy a handbag that cost more than twenty dollars, but it did allow her to have a fairly good selection of thirty dollar jeans and twenty dollar tops in her closet. Not fancy nor ghetto, just a simple upper-middle class lifestyle. "I haven’t been to the mall in almost a week!” "A whole week? How did you stand it?"Laughing a bit, Pixie nudged Callie's shoulder from the back seat, leaning forward with a smile. "Don't worry, I wont let you get sucked up by the vortex that is girl world," She said before stepping out of the car, not really bothering to wait for Jubilee to make sure she looked ever-so-perfect. Megan was fairly happy for the chilly weather. It allowed her to wear the hooded sweatshirt over her regular T and conceal her wings without being too hot the entire day. Her wings, while pressed down against her back as she normally would have them were perfectly hidden by the little extra space in the garment. She was often thankful for how flexible the translucent wings were, as although having them made her life a bit difficult in public places, she could still show off whatever non-existant curves and small waist she had while hiding them. Not.. that she cared too much about making the boys look at her. Pixie was more of the type to be comfortable with herself, and that in turn had practically all of the boys looking at her even when she wasn't dressed up. She believed firmly in personality over appearance, though looking nice was always just fun. It was this attitude that she assumed helped her understand Callie. The girl, from what Pixie could tell had a great personality, and just because she didn't wear her hair all perfect and globs of make-up on her face, she was still an extremely beautiful person. Brushing her darker denim jeans off before grabbing Callie's hand, she started to tug the girl playfully toward the entrance. "Don't forget where we parked Jube and I so get to drive home! I brought my permit with me and I need just about 40 hours of behind the wheel time before I turn sixteen.." Know this might cause a bit of a scare to the two older girls, she gave a devious smirk before releasing Callie just as they walked through the large automatic glass doors. She had explained to her dad that they were going to take a trip to the mall, and he had gladly given her some money to do so. She wasn't exactly spoiled, he gave her limits, and she would keep to those limits with no problem, but the fact that her budget was fairly large (For a 15 year old) she was definitely excited, it was like christmas was coming again. A part of her had felt bad, that her dad may have only given her so much because he either felt bad for her or was missing her, and she was missing him too, quite a bit, but she'd have to try and arrange a way for him to come and visit her, or even her to go back home and visit him. "Maybe... we should start you off with something small, something lik-" pausing as she saw the shoe store not but three shops in, she smiled. It was perfect, start at the bottom and work their way up. Maybe they could find something Callie would really like, something she was still comfortable in but was also new. It would be like a make-over, but a practical one. "Ooh this is perfect! C'mon!" Grabbing the girl's hand again, Pixie's sneakers found good traction as she half dragged the poor girl into the store. Letting go once again as they were inside, Pixie practically disappeared as she spotted a pair of pink boots "Help me find these in five!" she yelled back past a few shelves as she grabbed the one on display. Shuffling through the boxes down below, she then looked up to the ones out of her reach. She couldn't quite make out if any of them were a size five or not. "You know, unless you think they'll make my legs look short or something.." she said with a bit of a huff.

Shopping, shopping, shopping, clothes, clothes, clothes, boys, boys, boys. It was absolutely all she was thinking about on the drive to the mall. She was conversing it with her fellow mutant passengers. She always felt so ecstatic when it came to shopping. To the point where she wasn’t even paying attention to the road infront of her, but luckily no head on car collisions occurred. She drove with style on the drive, maintaining a wide toothy smile the entire time. She adored her cute yellow buggy; she would thank her deceased parent’ for their heightened wealth.
Jubilee had to practically force Dryad in the car and Jubes was terribly dazed by this. Like, who wouldn’t want to go shopping!? It’s a way of life. Hopefully, once Jubilee gave the pretty elfin girl a makeover, she would loosen up a bit and work her naturally beauty. In the car, while the plant manipulator remained rather quiet with a few sounds here and there, Pixie was quite the social butterfly. "A whole week? How did you stand it?"
The asian pyrotechnic let out a few girlish giggles. “Hey! Okay, little miss sarcastic, once we get into that mall, I’m going to open your eyes to a whole new world,” She said with enthusiasm. As they pulled into the driveway of the Westchester mall Pixie said, “Don’t forget where we parked Jubes and I so get to drive home! I brought my permit with me and I need just about 40 hours of behind the wheel time before I turn sixteen.." Jubilee put on a wide smile. “You bet! That would be fun.” Jubilee didn’t even worry if the tiny pink-haired girl with wings would damage her car. Jubilee had enough money to just buy a new one, without worrying about anything. As the three got out of the car and made their way to the mall entrance Pixie spoke, "Maybe... we should start you off with something small, something lik- Ooh this is perfect! C'mon!" jubilee was grabbed and dragged by Pixie into the shoe store. Jubilee just chuckled and followed her into the store.
“Shoes! PERFECT idea!” Jubilee would shop for almost absolutely anything, without loosing any interest. At the moment, Jubilee really wasn’t focused on purshcashing new attire for herself. She was feeling in a giving mood and would rather pay more attention to Dryad. She wanted to beautify her from head to toe. “And the fun begins!” Jubilee walked down the shoes ile, happily, looking for the perfect shoes. "Help me find these in five! You know, unless you think they'll make my legs look short or something.." From having lots of experience, at the mall, she knew here everything was! Jubilee chuckled as she grabbed a pair of size five shoes for Pixie. “Found them!” Being an open-minded person, she continued with a chuckle, “Gurl, you’re legs will always be short, even with the right shoes,” she quickly added to the end of her sentence, “But in a pretty way.”
Jubilee had on a smile as her brown eyes shot over to Dryad. “Now for you,” she muttered to herself with a devilish smirk. Jubes looked down at Dryad’s feet. Simply hideous, she could have barfed. Her shoes were so old looking. No spice or fashion once so ever! Her sense of style was completely conservative, which was not very attractive in Jubilee’s eyes. “Gurl, you definitely need new shoes.” Jubes reached her outstretched arm to grab a pair of decent fashionable pink shoes that looked to be around Dryad’s size. She handed them to her with a confident smile, “Try these.” By the end of the day, Dryad was going to be a total babe with Jubilee’s sense of style.

"Don't worry, I wont let you get sucked up by the vortex that is girl world." "Says the girl with rainbow wings," she teased, wrinkling her nose slightly. Jubilee seemed determined to make this into the most girly outing ever, and the plant manipulator couldn't help the faint tremor of trepidation that was busily worming it's way into her consciousness. She had the uncomfortable feeling that by the time she managed to get away from this place she'd have been turned into a completely different person...at least on the outside. Her goal for the day? To keep them away from the ultimate expression of girliness: the color pink. "Good luck to me," she murmured under her breath as she trailed behind the other two girls, dragged along by the arm. She let the babbling of the other two flow by her without much recognition, aware of the fact that she was going to have very little control over what happened today. The mall was their terf, and it would be much easier on Callie if she simply played follow-the-leader...kept her from getting lost, at least. Speaking of getting lost, the redhead took a quick glance around the parking lot as they reached the doors (and Megan finally let go of her arm) to make sure they could find their way back to the car at the end of this sure-to-be hellish ride. "Maybe... we should start you off with something small, something lik-" ... "Ooh this is perfect! C'mon!"
"Good Lord!" The exclamation forced it's way out of her mouth as she was once again seized and dragged along behind the other two girls, mostly because of the surprise of said seizing and dragging. Did they never do anything at a reasonable pace? Or maybe they thought she'd discreetly disappear if they didn't keep her on a short leash. Smiling faintly to herself, Callie had to admit that if they wereunder that impression they certainly weren't far off the mark. Maybe she should work on being a little less transparent. Their whirlwind movement came to another abrupt end as they entered the shoe store, anxious green eyes going over the seemingly endless shelves of footwear. If only they were books. The other two immediately set upon the options and Callie almost laughed when Megan went looking for a size five...and here Callie thought they were here for her! Jubilee's disdainful look at her feet had the redhead looking in the same direction, a quizzical look on her face as she glanced at her well-worn, comfortable sneakers. What could she possibly have against them? They may not be pristine or anything, but they were quite serviceable.
“Gurl, you definitely need new shoes. Try these.”
She didn't need new shoes. Not even a little bit. Especially not shoes of such a lurid shade of pink. Why would you even want that color on your feet?! Callie had been sure they wouldn't get to the pink stage of things until they were looking at shirts, at least, but obviously she had been mistaken. "Oookay...look, here's the thing," she said, making absolutely no move to touch the dreaded pink shoes. "I don't really wear a lot of pink, and I definitely don't wear pink shoes. Can't we go with something white? Or even black or brown?" Sure Callie was a pushover, but she still had some limits.

As she received the box of shoes she then looked down at her legs with a frown. At least they'd always look short in a 'pretty' way? Or maybe that was just Jubilee's awkward way of teasing her. She didn't really mind, everyone noticed she was short, but at the same time she made a mental note to glance at the heels while they were looking at shoes. Sitting down on one of the benches, she quietly let Jubilee take over for a moment. Opening the box with the boots inside, she pushed down the heels of the sneakers she was wearing so they slipped off. She glanced up as Jubilee seemed to like what she found, and suddenly went a bit wide-eyed at them. They were pink. Now Pixie loved pink as much as the next 4'11 pixie with the hair to match, but Callie had Red hair. You didn't mix up Pink with Red. Letting her commentary be lost though as she looked down to slip the boots on each foot, she decided she'd just voice a solid 'no' for the shoes when Callie tried them on. Thing was, Callie didn't try them on, and Megan was proud of her for voicing her opinion on the very-hard-to-turn-down Jubilee. Getting up with the boots now on her feet, she walked around a bit to test them out and to find Callie some shoes she could live with. Even with Pixie's short legs, she was a very fast person with her fast metabolism and hyperactive ways. She had managed to gather up about four shoe boxes before either of the other two had probably noticed she was gone, as one was busy voicing their opinion and feelings and if Pixie wasn't mistaken, the other's cell phone had started ringing. Returning back to find just Callie there in the store, she blinked a few times. "I'm guessing Justin Timberlake is in the building?" She asked with a smile. It wasn't too unlike Jubilee to go running off if she saw a boy she liked or heard about something amazing happening. It didn't matter a whole lot though as she laid the boxes out side by side.. by side by side on the bench she was sitting on earlier. "Alright, we can stay away from the pink but don't expect to leave the store wearing those things. They're fine for lounging around in your room but c'mon," she said with a playful smile. "Let me play dress up the cute girl for one day?" She now asked with a bit of a pout. Without waiting for any kind of response though, she turned and walked behind the bench, prepared to lecture her poor victim on shoes. "You need to stay away from blacks and really vibrant colors.. like pink.." She giggled before continuing, "Like browns and deep greens.. purple or gold, you know, stuff you basically already do.." Raising her eyebrows then she nodded. "Right, so what do you think of any of these?" She asked, pointing to the first box she had laid out. They contained a pair of wedges, something that was easier to walk in than heels, but still amazingly cute, especially for the type of person Callie was. "I think they'd be great if you can walk in them.. not too sure what your skill level is yet.." Sticking her tongue out now she then wrinkled her nose and moved on. Pointing now to some classic plaid style vans, she smiled, "These are easy, low key and just a nice simple shoe. We'll have to see how it looks on you, of course, if if the high heels and wedges don't work for you, its totally fine and these are an option.." Moving to the next, they were simple flats, a sandal without too much work, "They.. really don't need much commentary.." She blinked them moved on to the last one. "These ones! Are my favorites, probably because I've always wanted some but they never have a color that fits me.. or a size, but besides that, maybe they'll look good on you!"Sitting down now on the very edge of the bench next to the boxes, she put her hands in her lap and waited eagerly for a response. Sure, Pixie didn't have much actual fashion experience, but she could voice what she liked, right? And she'd have to admit that the stuffed animals she had growing up were always extremely cute with whatever she decided to put on them. ((OOC I can change what happened to Jubes or you can fill in the blanks I left, and such, I just didn't know exactly what to do, lemme know))

Callie was waiting for Megan to come back and save her from Jubilee. It was fairly obvious that the pixie girl would be the one more inclined to see Callie's point of view, or at least to not put so much pressure on her concerning the buying of new things. Jubilee was nice, yes, but more than a little pushy. It was almost scary. Unfortunately Megan wasn't coming back, apparently still engrossed in her search for size five's, and following her denial of Jubilee's choice in shoes the redhead was just waiting for something to...explode. Luckily, before such an eruption could occur, the asian girl was interrupted by the ring of her cell phone.
Following came a rapid-fire conversation that Callie had absolutely no hope of following. How Jubes managed to speak that fast without spiraling into incoherent babbling was quite a bit beyond the redhead, which accounted for the blank stare aimed at the asian teen for the duration of the conversation. She was so out of her depth with these people. Before the plant manipulator was even aware that the conversation was over in the first place Jubliee closed her phone, spit out some rapid-fire explanation that Callie couldn't understand, and disappeared. "I'm guessing Justin Timberlake is in the building?" "I...uh...I'm not really...sure," she said, blinking as Megan took up Jubilee's recently vacated position. "She had a phone call, but she was talking too fast for me to understand what it was about, and then she just sort of...took off. I think she said she'd see us back at the car, but I could have been imagining that. I didn't know anyone could talk that fast." A dazed sort of amazement colored her tone, matched by her expression, before she realized that the tiny girl was carrying some boxes. How unfortunate that the other girl's disappearance didn't get her out of this shopping ordeal. "Alright, we can stay away from the pink but don't expect to leave the store wearing *those* things. They're fine for lounging around in your room but *c'mon. *Let me play dress up the cute girl for one day? You need to *stay away* from blacks and really vibrant colors.. like pink..Like browns and deep greens.. purple or gold, you know, stuff you basically already do..Right, so what do you think of any of these?" Why did everyone have something against her shoes? They were an excellent pair of sneakers that had served her very well indeed. They might be a little scruffy looking these days, but they were comfy and she didn't have to worry about messing them up if she decided to get her hands dirty in the garden...and wasn't that everything a girl should be looking for in a pair of shoes? Well, apparently not. Instead of asking what they thought was so wrong with her shoes, Callie decided to ask for clarification on an equally perplexing (but less touchy) subject. "Why not black?" And since when did she wear purple or gold shoes? A little ostentatious, wasn't it? But then they were on to introducing each individual set of shoes, with the redhead looking on with a nervous sort of expression. Was she about to see something as equally horrid as the pink shoes? Well...no. Not at all. While none of them were exactly the sort of shoe she preferred (since mostly all she had an interest in wearing were plain white sneakers), she did find one among the four that she could live with. She might even be able to like them. "These are nice," she said with only the tiniest bit of hesitation, picking up the fourth pair. "I could live with these." And they even had yellow on them! A pale sort, though, and not very much, and combined with the brown they did look a little...cute. Maybe. "Yes, I like these." Lifting green eyes to Megan, she waited for whatever was to come next.
