The curly-haired force-field generator stood on the rooftops of the Xavier’s Institute. With a sparkle in his almond-shaped brown eyes and a worried expression he stood there, at the edge of the roof. The strong wind breeze picked up and collided with him. However, he couldn’t feel the wind. His hair wasn’t being blown. He couldn’t feel anything. Standing at the edge, his head was directed down, looking at an aerial view of the outdoor grounds of the magnificent mansion. He was about to experiment with his powers again. He raised his arms up and faced forward, as if he were about to commit suicide. Sparks of fear ran through his spine. As much of a daredevil as he was, he always thought deeply about what he was going to do. In the end he would usually do it though.
What if his shield were to suddenly deactivate? Then he would be dead. Radius had just found this great school and was making great friends. He really wasn’t looking forward to dying. But this was just the way Jared was. He felt invincible because of his powers and as a result would experiment them to understand them better. He had been stabbed with a knife, shot by a bullet, broke through walls, now let’s see if he could survive jumping off a building. He mentally pushed his fears to the back of his head, making more room for his confidence. A devilish smirk came across his face, now reassuring himself he was gonna’ do it!
In just a pair of black basketball shorts and a white t-shirt, with his metal dog-tag shaped chain necklace with the 'X' emblem on it around his neck. He crouched down low, ready to take a leap of faith. He then extended his legs and leaped off the rooftop with all the force he had. He jumped into the air in front of him. His body then fell and gained speed the closer he came to the ground. A wide toothy smile came across his face as he yelled out in enthusiasm, “WHOOOOHOOOO!” He didn’t feel uneasy in his stomach you would usually feel fall falling at such a great height because of his shield. His body was just pumped with excitement and couldn’t wait to leave a huge dent in the ground. Taking such risks just filled Jared with an intoxicating sensation.
His arms were outstretched with his fists clenched, as if he were flying the superman, but his flight pattern was aiming directly toward the concrete ground. He kept his eyes opened, as he stared at the destination he soon would reach. Hopefully, he wouldn’t feel any pain like usual. He would just have to wait and find out.
